US President Joe Biden promised Americans a “brighter future” during a speech in front of the White House in honor of US Independence Day. His words are transmitted by CNN.
The American leader noted that the United States declared independence from the “distant kingdom” of Great Britain 245 years ago, and now they need to do the same with the coronavirus. After that, the country will see a “brighter future,” he assured.
The President also drew attention to the fact that the disease has not yet been defeated, and dangerous varieties of the virus continue to appear. For the final economic recovery and victory over the coronavirus, Biden advised citizens to get vaccinated. “This is the most patriotic thing you can do,” he stressed.
Earlier it became known that more than half of US residents approved of Joe Biden’s work to combat the pandemic. According to the survey, 62 percent of Americans approve of the way the president is handling the coronavirus in the country, 31 percent disapproved, and 7 percent refrained from answering.
